…a matinee, a stroll, and a gelato.
We used to live down the road from the Shaw Festival in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
It was a blessing and a curse.
Curse
Have I told you how much I love live theatre?
Blessing
Rush seats.
Last week, on a typically gorgeous, N-O-T-L day, we motored around the lake for a day of walking and noshing and theatre.
It might’ve been over the river and through the woods in my imagination.
But we motored.
To see…
Peter and the Starcatcher
I have not been entertained so well in a very long time.
It was fast, funny, frenetic.
Wild, readers. Wild!
I loved the modern references and the bare-bones set.
PATS was performed storytelling-style.
The actors were and did all.
Stamina.
They had it.
I was charmed.
I wanted to be a pirate, a mermaid, a clam, an orphan… a girl.
Here’s the behind-the-scenes look…
On stage at the Royal George Theatre from April 8 – November 1.
Black Stache…
Help me, Rhonda.
I’m thinking I might go again.
Just as soon as I learn Norse Code.
A stellar performance by a stellar cast.
Yes. I used stellar twice on purpose.
You can follow Shaw Theatre on Twitter here for the latest Shaw news.
Here be Humpity Day.
Let’s just imagine ourselves right over it.

I love NOTL. I used to take wine tours there all the time. We watched a production at a vineyard once and sat on the grass and ate cheese n crackers and drank wine. It was a fine time indeed. I miss those days when I got paid to talk about wine.

Me, too. That sounds like a lovely way to pass an afternoon or evening.

Hi Elen, just want to see if you had ever been nominated for a Liebster Award? If so, how was the experience? If not, would you like to be? From me?

I was just nominated for a Liebster. I haven’t done anything so far, so I can’t say what the experience was…. yet. And TY for thinking of Liebster and me together.

No problem, but think about doing a double nomination. You could answer both sets of questions in the same post. You could start a new trend. Noms yours if you want it x2.

LOL As in I’ll take your questions now? Okay then. It won’t be my first twofer!! 😉 Thank you.

It was, Otto. It surely was. I don’t know if you’re familiar with the story, but it’s the story of Peter and Wendy’s mother, and how Neverland came into being.

I only know it from the movie. 🙂
