Fridaaaaay!… aka Much Ado About Nothing

I like this little fella a lot. He pretty much embodies my inner self… on Fridays.

Especially on Fridays.

I was going to do a post on Lasts — last movie I saw, last tv show I watched, last book I read, last…

Three lasts in, and I was zzzzzzzz-ing.

It was a real snoozefest.

Nobody cares that I saw The Man From U.N.C.L.E, or watched BBG — Big Bang Theory, or read a Lori Foster Ultimate book.

Am I right?

I’m right.

But since I’ve started down this road.

This road that forks neither to the right nor to the left.

This road of no u-turns.

This road of no return.

This is the  l a s t  click I took at Hopewell Rocks, which is the next leg of the New Brunswick roadmance.

Doesn’t that just scream Hopewell Rocks?

I must have been having a tree moment. Pining for the old tree shots.

Sniff.

I took that saturation way down, which I’m kind of digging.

How low can you go?

Today, more than anything, I need to get out of the house. The home. The domicile.

I need to split, man.

Fridaaaaay!

You know what to do. Meet you in the bar in 3…2…1…

  1. Those trees look a little like me in a bathing suit.
What is it with this summer? There are no exciting movies. Man from U.N.C.L.E. looks good and it still has no appeal. 2015, the summer of indifference.

    • Not gonna laugh. Nope. Uhn-uhn… Hahahahaha. Oopsies. Seriously, that’s hard to imagine, Gruhn.

I thoroughly enjoyed TMFU. It had that sixties vibe and fashion and low tech thang going. They played off the tv series quite well. It was fun watching a movie without smartphones and other high tech. I loved Armie Hammer as IK, except I missed that whole pale blonde, straight, fly-away hair that David McCallum sported. (I know your eyes are glazing over with that one.) They stayed true to the look and feel of the series. Alicia Vikander was just too much fun.

I’m going to see Mr. Holmes this weekend. But for most of the summer, I thought there was nothing. Nothing at all.
