Fridaaaaay!… + True Confessions

It was a spider, man.H A P P Y  H A L L O W E E N !

That being said.

True Confessions ~

I don’t like…

scary,

creepy,

bloody and/or bloodsucking,

things that go bump in the night.

Or any other time of day.

I don’t like bats.

And I don’t like spiders.

I don’t do horror.

I do like…

tricksters

and treaters

dressed up as pumpkins and ghoulies and ghosties and princesses and bumblebees and their favorite Disney characters.

I like when kids Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF, though I haven’t seen one of those boxes at my door in a very long time.

Here are my three favorite Halloween movies…

Hocus Pocus (1993) because, you know…

I put a spell on you!

The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

And (technically not a Halloween movie) Practical Magic (1998) because, you know…

Midnight Margaritas!

What are yours?

About every five years (really twice) we have a movie date night, eat red Twizzlers, and enjoy watching moviegoers in costume.

This year, the grown-up frightlet will be manning the door. We’ll be making pizzas — the dough is already made — munching brownies and watching one of the above.

You?

TGIF before Halloween.

See you in November. It’s comin’!

You know what to do. Meet you in the bar in 3…2…1…

  1. Elen, you so stole my idea. That’s what we are doing too. I have to man the door, the Yard Ape takes the kid trick or treating. Not sure if he sees her as a trick or a treat. ha,ha.
I’m a hard core Audrey Hepburn fan and I love Paris When It Sizzles. I know it’s not Halloweenie per se but the music in this film is so sinister. Whoa, ha, ha.
November is going to be a nail bitter for me but I am adoring the weather we’ve been having.
Happy Halloween, Friday and Pre-November to you.
