This is the first WebDonuts (Mike Gruhn) webcomic I ever shared on this site. It was back in the day.
2010.
It appealed to the writer in me.
And the Scrabble player in me.
Of course, it’s not Hump Day. It’s Throwback Thursday.
And it’s not November. It’s March.
And it’s not 2010. It’s six years later.
Where was I going with this?
______
Hump Day Laughing…
I’ve been laughing over Mike Gruhn’s cartoons for a while now. He’s got some serious funny going on. You can find him here at WebDonuts. Go. See. Laugh.
It’s Hump Day — again!
It’s NaNoWriMo — Go, writers, go!
It’s NaBloPoMo — Go, bloggers, go!
The word from @foodimentary is it’s National Baklava Day — Come to mama!
And I’m here to tell you it’s a verra windy day here on the suburban plains.
Just thought I’d share.
Happy Hump Day.
Laugh. Write. Eat baklava.

IVS… I might have it.
Who else out there has a love of the Scrabble?
Secretly… I do have affection for a good consonant.
There. I’ve said it.
And my Throwback Thursday work here is done.

Laugh, write, and eat baklava. I think I can accomplish all of that today.

Sadly, no baklava here. But I’ve got warm chocolate chip cookies, so it’s all good. Are you all icy there? We’re iced over, but it’s beginning to melt. Hope it continues to do that. Poor little rosebushes. Poor little daffs.

Yes, big sheets of ice. I had a garden design meeting today, what a strange + beautiful land we live in.

Those dang old consonants. They’re only good if you have a word to use them in and you get use them on a bonus tile! Would you hate me if I said I’ve never had baklava?

Yass! Bonus tiles!! I could never hate you, Eric. lol It’s full of delicious yum. I rarely have it. It’s loaded with fatty goodness.

Nothing wrong with consonants as long as there is a vocal in between to connect them. And some of the consonants yield a high score in Scrabble!
