Single Shot Monday: Thyme and time again…

Thyme of My Life!

This is not my creeping thyme in the frontscape. This is my garden thyme. It gets used in cooking. And it’s looking damn fine for November.

So…

Anthropocene at the Art Gallery of Ontario was mind-blowing and horrifying at the same time. If you are in the GTA for any reason, go. See it. It’s here through January 6, 2019. Friday was a great playdate day. We walked our little toes off.

The baseboards in the long hall, entry, and closet were finished on Thursday, and 5 pieces of art were hung. The chair rail will get a hit of semigloss, and the front door and side window combo will be painted Benjamin Moore Silver Song 1557. It’s still neutral, but light and bright.

That being said, City Kitty is here for a vacay while her mama is having fun with friends, so I’m planning to put together Pinch of Yum 12 Healthy Freezer Meals for the slow cooker (or Instant Pot) to use during the living room painting project instead of painting. No fuss eating while in the middle of a project. Can I get an amen?!

City Kitty is unsure. She’s thinking more exile than vacay. Right now, she’s sleeping in her woven basket with her bear… in front of a heating vent. She lives for heat. She likes to lounge in a corner of my office over the garage… but only if I’m not in it. I’m feeling the love.

It was a family weekend. Cooking, talking, walking, and major chillaxing. And… the Sunday autumn turning back of the clock one hour. The fall back. I’m thinking why stop there? If we’re going to fall back, let’s make it an entire day. Just sayin’.

One other thing…

I voted by absentee ballot over a month ago. Join me, won’t you?

And Monday is in the house.

We’re in the work zone.

  1. I voted absentee about a month ago. No amount of inane commercials and news opining was going to change my mind, so I got ahead of voting. I like the idea of silver around your door and windows + chair rail. Not that it matters what I think but color and design-y things make me happy. You, too?
