Monday Feels!
Could be the weather. Could be the master upgrade plan. Could be the summer of Chained to the Paint. Could be lack of greens?
Moving right along.
So…
Progress is being made around here. Slow and steady. They say it wins the race, but I’m having my doubts.
I’m also having lots of guilt about not being able to keep a regular schedule with this blog and not have the time to regale myself at your blogs.
I don’t know if I should just continue to post as time allows or just say… See ya in October?!
It’s a tough call.
Sometimes, at the end of the day, I throw myself into a chair and watch Home Fires. 3 seasons. (I’m in season 2.) It’s all about the women of the Women’s Institute in a rural English town on the brink of WWII. The cast is stellar. The acting sublime. You can find it on DVD, iTunes, Amazon, PBS.Org. We found it on DVD in our local library.
And Monday is in the house.
Embrace it.

This has been a long hot August and the mere idea of October seems unlikely to me. I think it’s going to be August forever. With high humidity. Don’t know that this comment is relevant to your post, but there you have it. My brain is fried.

It has been a long, hot August, Ally. Welcome to the fried brain club. Humidity is not my friend. 😉

If the photo was taken in the distillery district?
I think that’s your answer right there!

Hahahahaha, River. I’m a lightweight. G-Man brought me home a beer two weeks ago. It’s still in the vegetable bin…. where everybody keeps their beer, right?

I, too, have been very remiss in reading other’ posts. I need to improve. What kind of projects are you doing around the ranch? Better hurry, summer is ending soon.

We’re still working on downsizing our crap by half and reno-ing through the interior until we think we’re done. It needs an update.

Downsizing/decluttering is a good thing. We’re getting rid of stuff but we bought a bigger house 6 yrs ago. I’ve repainted the entire inside, new kitchen, new carpeting and some hardwood. New trees and 55 hydrangea plants. She loves it. Me? It’s an anchor. I bet we could sell it in a day. Wanna buy?

That’s a project. Bigger I do not want. So that would be a no thanks! 😉

Really, I like the plants but 50 is a bit much. And that’s just the Hydrangeas. On the other hand, we are the envy of passers-by. And that, my dear friend, I love…😂😉🙀😎🤪

If we don’t see you until October, we’ll understand. Enjoy “Home Fires.” (No, I haven’t seen it.)

I love your blog, although I have been remiss too. I say, do what you can…after Home Fires. I watched it and agree with you wholeheartedly.
I want to write on my blog (it’s been 7 months) so desperately but I feel like I’ve lost my rhythm. Hell, I feel like I’ve lost the whole thing but I have been gardening my heart out. Lol.

Thank you so much, Kellie. Oh, so glad someone besides me has watched Home Fires. And gardening is where your heart is. I love when your pics show up on Instagram. You’re very busy creating visual art right now. What a summer, eh?
