We took a little field trip to Toronto today because the Tall Ships are in town (June 20-23) for the Redpath Tall Ships 1812 Tour. For other ports of call, check here.

Today is the Summer Solstice — the longest day of the year in our hemisphere — and this is the way we wanted to celebrate it. Date Night all day long.

I took a bazillion clicks. You know me, right? But this is Close Shot Friday, so you get this.

It looks serious. It means business.

Found on board the U.S. Brig Niagara, a two-masted, square-rigged sailing vessel. This is the third reconstruction of the original vessel. According to the brochure, it was launched in Erie on September 19, 1988. It sails the Great Lakes “preserving and interpreting the story of the Battle of Lake Erie”.
