Fridaaaay!… It Grounds Me

Sweet Alyssum!

I have a thang for ground covers. They ground me.

Snort!

There are some thymes and Vinca minor in the frontscape, along with some hen & chicks and two patches of this white sweet alyssum. And I’m thinking about adding some Vinca major in the back garden as an undead bunny deterrent. They ate the three pink fairy rose bushes I planted there last year after the new fence was put in. The Vinca major can run wild with the sweet woodruff and woodland and common violets.

It has come to my attention that the sweet alyssum and the sweet woodruff are the only white specimens I have in my garden.

Isn’t that sweet?

Here be Friday, splish-splashin’ right into the weekend.

Cone Girl gets her stitches out this afternoon. Yass!

You know what to do. Meet you in the bar in 3…2…1…

Humpity Day: Tomahto…

Who’s growing tomatoes?

There are twenty tomato seedlings sucking up the sunshine in the upstairs den. Three different varieties. This was taken a few days ago when they stood five inches at the highest. Today — seven inches. We might be running a little tomato stand this summer. But I always have to take into account the demon squirrels and the pigmunks and the undead bunnies when I think about yield. I could end up with a pint of tomatoes for my effort. Just sayin’.

Here be Hump Day in all its spring color palette.

Get jiggy with it.
