I smell brownies…

It’s Humor Me Friday, but I don’t have a funny funny for you today. It wasn’t a funny week. I can say that I’m haaaacking! less and, after about ten hours of sleeping like the dead, enjoying my world more.

Every time I go to the basement, I bring up a Christmas box. Every time I walk by the alien tree, I hang something on it. It’s kind of like my writing this week. Slow, but steady. Alien Tree is looking a little less forlorn. Like me.

My office chair died.  No, I didn’t haaaack! it to death.  It was a slow and painful demise. Since I’m not fond of sitting with my chin resting on my workspace while I write, I had to resurrect an office chair horror from the basement. Why it wasn’t put on the curb years ago, I know not. I can honestly say this sucker is not comfy. Not. Comfy. At. All. I may have to go stretch out on the bed with my laptop to snooze finish this post. If you’ve got an office chair you love to love, I want to hear about it. I hate shopping for furniture of any kind. Period.

Our first Christmas gifty arrived today. A cute, little, sparkly green sack was sitting by my front door when I got home from giving the bank all my money. I hope they take good care of it.  Here, we have visiting hours for our money. Seriously. It says right on the front glass double doors — Visiting Hours, and then gives a list of the too brief hours during the week I can visit my money. I try not to visit too often, because you have to wait in a long line to visit your money. There is no after hours visiting, not even for family and friends.  That’s just so sad.  Does it work this way in your neck of the planet?

Back to the little, sparkly green sack. In it was this —

Sand Art Brownies — add wet ingredients and bake. I don’t know about you, but I could use a Sand Art Brownie about now. Oh, yeah.

Yes. That really is the color of my kitchen wall. Yes. I did it on purpose. I heart color, especially rich, deep tones. Color is not for everyone. Me. I’m all about the color.

I smell brownies.

Quick. Grab Friday. Weekend’s coming.
