It’s a cycle…

I'm thinking...The things you can learn on a Monday morning. Did you know that if you put your hoodie on backward, you can warm your face? You breath like Darth Vadar, too. Note: Please do not attempt to operate machinery.

I’ve become a Sheldonista. I’m definitely trying this.

I predict a lot of Drill, Baby, Drill in my neighborhood this morning. There’s a bunch of badass trucks with fat wheels parked on my street….. blocking my drive. Hmm.

Speaking of streets. I live on one that’s, well, curvy. It was one of the selling points. This weekend, I kind of noticed that it’s a street divided. If you’re walking or driving down one end of the curve, you’re going to see pumpkins and cornstalks and straw bales and autumnal wreaths. At the other end — Santa and reindeer and snowmen and icicle lights. It’s like Battle of the Seasons here. If you’re standing in front of my little cabin, you’re going to see  n o t h i n g .

The Sven Report — The Sven Plan has been hammered out, and Sven and I have an accord. We’re in full challenge swing. I’ll be reporting progress here on Wednesdays.

My weekend was all hearth and homey; all warm and gooey chocolate chip cookie; all rainy day put-a-roast-in-the-oven wonderful. How about you? How was your weekend?

Now. I’m a writer on the edge, in need of caffeine.

Monday morning — it’s a cycle.

  1. My weekend was decidedly cold, snowy and lacking in the sleep department. However, we got laundry done.

Love the battle of the seasons! I’m the bah-humbug who doesn’t decorate. Maybe if I actually live in one place long enough…

  2. Bah-humbug, huh? Well, I’m always running behind. I ran so behind on fall, that I didn’t get my pumpkin wreath on the door. I can’t do anything about Christmas before American Thanksgiving. I know. I live in Canada, but I still function on the homeland time clock. 😀 I try to hold out for the first day of Advent. I’m sort of the winter greens and tiny white fairy lights type.

Maybe I’ll get Sven working on those lights while he’s looking over my shoulder, being pesty.
