Personally, I’m going with the amnesia and maybe a pregnant…  Hello Contemporary Category!

I’ve had one of those summers. One of those long, glorious summers filled with days that make you smile. Yet, I can’t say that there was anything special about it in the way that we define special.

I traveled, which you already know, but only for 14 or so days. It rained buckets most of the summer and wasn’t overly warm. Now we’re just over the September hump, which I’m having a helluva time getting my mind wrapped around, and we’re just getting some really delicious sun-filled, seventy-five degree days with the kind of breezes that make you want to curl up like a kitten and zzzzzz-purr.

I’m learning how to work a new camera, which isn’t all that high-tech, but anything beyond point and click is virgin territory for me.

I’m typing this post from my new mini netbook –- aren’t birthdays grand? – and once my hands downsize to Lilliputian, I’ll be good to go.

I’ve learned my way around Twitter, TwitZap, TweetDeck, Twitter Grader, Twitter Temperature –- man, that’s just cold – Twitter Backgrounds –- Okay. I couldn’t get that to work at all; but I’m an iStockphoto girl, so I got around that. I’m not totally tweetless!

I’m actually contemplating becoming a Facebook user, something I said I would never do. Ever.

I wrote. Wrote. Wrote. I read. Read. Read. I watched flicks… at the theater, on DVD, on TV. I sucked-in enough So You Think You Can Dance to power a village.

I went to the vegetable market every week, battled the squirrels for squatter’s rights in my container garden –- they won! – and tried to keep ahead of the Golden poop in the yard.

There were some house repairs to be done, some room rearranging, some appliance begetting, some volunteering, exercising, and so the summer went.

What I wasn’t doing much of was posting here. I know. Shocking!

Summer’s over, baby. Good to go. How about you?

Really. Summer is over. We’ve marked the autumnal equinox in this neck of the world.
