From my blog to your blog…

From my house to your house; from my blog to your blog; from my twitter to your twitter; I extend greetings to all my friends and family celebrating American Thanksgiving. May your day be filled with those you love, joy and laughter, and a feast to be thankful for.

To all the troops out there unable to be with mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, husbands, wives, children, friends for Thanksgiving, sending you a bucket of encouragement and support. To those military families with an empty place at their table, we send you the same. Know that the sacrifices you make every single day matter.

It seems appropriate at this time to announce the final numbers for the Soldiers’ Angels Valour-IT Campaign this blog participated in from October 28th – November 11th. The funds raised provide assistive technologies — voice-activated laptops, Wii video game systems, personal GPS, and iPad — for soldiers with severe physical wounds, traumatic brain injury (TBI) and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Take a look ~

Our goal was $60,000. Just look what you did! For every person who clicked to donate, tweeted or blogged the message, hit up a friend or relative for a donation, we thank you. Without you, this would not have happened.

Not one dime of this money goes to administrative costs. Each cent provides much needed technology for our wounded soldiers.

On this day of thanksgiving, I’m thankful for all of you. You rocked it!

Finally, I am beyond thankful for my readership. Thanks so much for being you and stopping by to visit me — here — at the blog.
