I needed to pause for beauty today.
This fits the bill.
Taken at the 2016 Canadian Tulip Festival in Ottawa last May, I titled it Call the Fire Brigade!
Since Canada is celebrating its 150th this year, I’m expecting to be gobsmacked at the festival.
If you’ve never been, go.
Walk your kicks off.
Get some great clicks.
Watch Tweeters and Instagrammers stretched out on their bellies to get the perfect angle.
Nosh on the sidewalk, the grass.
Hang.
It runs from May 12-22. Here’s a link. Canadian Tulip Festival
Here be Friday.
Take a pause for beauty.
You know what to do. Meet you in the bar in 3…2…1…

Looks like a wonderful event. I adore tulips, but can’t grow them here because the deer and squirrels eat the bulbs. Maybe I need to make a trip north to see yours.

A most excellent idea. Yes, I lose most my bulbs to squirrels. Dang!
