Soup’s On!
Okay. It was on earlier this week. And for that I am eternally grateful. It means we’ve got dinner!
Leeks, onions, carrots, potatoes, split peas, ham, broth on the hob. All the goodness. It’s going to simmer away for a couple of hours and be a lovely green with little bits of carrot and potato and ham floating around in it. This could be a vegetarian dish, unless you live with a meat-eater like I do. Grunt. Just sayin’.
I can go either way.
In Other News ~
The fencers are here. That means I’m in street clothes, and I dragged a brush through my hair. I might’ve washed my face and made a swipe across the eyelashes with the mascara wand, too.
Okay! Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Oil was involved. I’ve been wearing it all summer, and now I’m collecting all the colors. Has anyone else tried it? Go ahead. Google it. You know you want to.
What are your weekend plans? I’m unsure, but I do know that it will involve being outdoors and out of Burbville.

I see a couple glasses of wine in my future this weekend. I wanted some last night but go so sidetracked that I forgot I wanted it. We had soup several times this week. Tuesday and Wednesday after Thanksgiving. Mmmm homemade soup made the all the leftovers of the Thanksgiving turkey. For that turkey I am thankful (and for this evening’s wine)
