Tuesday Post: I can be difficult…

We’re squaring off today. Going square.

Because… it’s hip to be square.

Thank you, Huey Lewis & The News.

You’re welcome for the earworm.

True Confessions ~

I’m sitting here in my soon to be 108 Humidex for the day thinking about potato leek soup. I’m not going to be making any, of course, but I’m Thinking About It.

I’m not going to lie.

It’s not that I don’t love a plate of cold food, a Popsicle, a slush, a snow cone, an iced tea, a cold brew. I just wouldn’t mind sitting down to a nice bowl of creamy, hot, potato leek soup or a veggie mac ‘n’ cheese or a thick stew… an epic hot chocolate.

Come February, I’ll be pining for a juicy, ripe tomato, a monster salad, a BLT.

Perverse, I know.

I can be difficult.

Anybody else do this? Anybody?

Now. Door hinges are calling my name.

See ya.

Tuesday, y’all.

  1. Wow, vichyssoise…. I haven’t thought of that for 100 years. My mother used to make it when I was young.
As for cravings, I rarely want hot comfort foods in the summer but come mid Feb. when I’m up to my butt in snow? I may want macaroni salad and watermelon. Weird.
