Into the Polar Vortex!
This was taken on the back patio in April (Spring) 2016. I applied a Glaze App filter to it. This was one of my favorite apps to play with during the iPhone years.
True Confessions ~
I’m good for the occasional rant.
Dear Canadian Winter,
It’s only the 8th of February, but I’m so over you.
Over. You.
Over you, freezing rain and ice pellets.
Over you, howling winds.
Over you, polar vortex.
Over you, thundersnow and frostquakes.
So. Over. You.
With warmest regards,
Yeti Elen
Sometimes, it feels good to get things off your chest. And I might’ve just come in from running a bazillion errands.
Here be Friday.
You know what to do. Meet you in the bar in 3…2…1…
Gimme your favorite winter drink to fend off the polar vortex blues.
I’ll go first.
Definitely a hot toddy. Because after I have one of those, I don’t particularly care what galaxy I’m in much less the season. Transparency.
Your turn.
Elen
P.S. I’ll be back to Is there anything better than winter? tomorrow. Mebbe.
I like your rant. Everyone needs to rant about each season once a season I believe. You may check that off your to-do list now. I’ll join you and have a hot toddy, too. If that’s ok.

I like your thinking, Ally. And I especially like knocking something off my to-do list. Hot toddies for the win!

If I drank a hot toddy you’d find me hibernating somewhere till Spring OR dancing on a table top, it could go either way. Lol

LOLZ, Donna. I might pay good money to see the latter. Hee.

You may be ‘over it’ but don’t send it over, over here. Over and out… Hot chocolate from Trader Joe’s. Or, water. Okay, okay, I would love a Single malt scotch but, zoom, it goes right thru me.

Spoilsport! Though, by your Insta, it looks like you’ve already got some icy ice of your own. You can never go wrong with hot chocolate. I can’t drink the single malt and live. It’s too woodsy, foresty, mossy… something. 😀

You forgot ‘smokey’. Now, I need a drink 🤪

Oh, By the way, it’s just about all melted away except for the plaza dunes. Now, windy and cold.

That’s good. It can be treacherous. The wind!

Strange, living in Maine you’d think I’d love hot alcoholic drinks but I don’t. Make my cocktails in the rocks, no matter the temps. I can warm up with hot tea and honey later!

I hear that, River.
