Fridaaaaay!… More K.I.S.S.

I had a craving. A craving for a salad. This craving usually follows pizza night. It might be a guilt craving.

Not me! Not me!

But Canadaland in March?… You’ve got to work with what you’ve got. It ain’t California. It ain’t Florida. And Burbville ain’t the Big City.

It ain’t right.

#yougottaworkwithwhatyougot

A little late for breakfast. A titch early for lunch. I went with a breakfast/lunch combo.

Breaklunch!

or

Fastlun!

Brunch is just too easy.

What this boils down to is I went for the big plate. The trencher of plates.

I was peckish, man!

I pulled some leaf lettuce from the vegetable bin, grabbed some Canadian hot house mini cucumbers, some strawberries that hitched a ride on a 747 from California, an orange that sailed over from South Africa, and pulled a tin of chickpeas from the pantry. They better be from Canada, as we are the largest exporter of pulses.

Everything was torn, shredded, chopped as needed, and rinsed and plunked artfully on a plate and given a drizzle of Braswell’s Vidalia Onion & Peppercorn Dressing. I considered adding some tasty cheese, but I ate all the tasty, gooey cheese in the land the night before.

Hey. I’m just a working blogger lost in the barrens Burbville. Master Chef Canada doesn’t have my number on speed dial. Just sayin’.

Still. It was mighty quick and tasty.

Keeping It Seriously Simple — K.I.S.S.

One more week to go.

I’m thinking, for the last week of #PulsePledge, a dessert recipe is in order.

#PulsePledge #LovePulses

Here be Friday. Eat a salad. Go crazy and put a pulse or ten in it.

You know what to do. Meet you in the bar in 3…2…1…
