In Other News ~

I set a goal for myself of writing five blog posts (M-F) a week for six months.

With this post, I’ve met that goal. Woot!

Stopping just a moment to boogie. Marvin Gaye’s Got To Give It Up (Part 1) sounds about right. Go ahead. Spotify it.

It’s not that I haven’t, in the history of this blog, written five posts a week for six months before. I’ve done it for longer than that.

It’s that, for some time now, I’ve been finding it challenging to throw down a humor post every day of the work week in the current social and political climate. It ain’t easy, I tell ya!

Were they all stellar posts?

Nope.

Some were a Big Fat Zero. Yes, I have a category for that here.

But it’s easier — even if it’s shite — to get words on the page if you do it on a consistent basis.

Writers gotta write.

So. I’m glad I challenged myself and met this goal. But being a Virgo, I had to pin up a 30-day planner on the wall and use neon sticky notes (one color for each day of the week) to track my progress. I needed a visual. Totes honored stat holidays, because I think it’s important to celebrate those days with… otherness.

In Other Other News ~

That sucker of a powder room door is up and opening and closing just fine with its new hinges and doorknob. Just the perfect little black & white area rug has found a home in this littlest room. And… still don’t want to use it. Hahahahahaha. Freak!

I’m absolutely making this recipe over the long weekend. Sweet Corn and Zucchini Pie from Pinch of Yum.

Who has seen Oceans 8? Crazy Rich Asians? Did you like? It’s time for a movie night.
