Chillin’ with Juno…

PoolFor Rest & Rec Friday this past weekend, we went to see Juno. I’ve wanted to see it for some weeks now and, let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Loved, loved, loved it.

A flick about teenage pregnancy for date night? Seems a bit weird, I know. Well — maybe not.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about this movie. It was solid storytelling. I was right there — start to finish. The music set the perfect tone. I loved the opening with its graphic novel look. The dialog was sharp. A truly engaging film.

Ellen Page was dynamite in her role as Juno MacGuff. I hope it walks away with bunches of awards. Oh, and I never miss an opportunity to see the talented Allison Janney — the woman’s got a funny bone! — who played the role of Bren MacGuff.

For a sneak peek, photos, fun stuff — wallpapers, ringtones, etc. — visit Fox Searchlight here.

Go. See. Toss some food and a beer into the mix, and you’ve got some Friday night entertainment goin’ on. Oh. And if you haven’t reached the age of license, just dial it down on the beer, as in — beer.

  1. One of the best movies I’ve seen in a while and I go almost every Tuesday. I’ve seen some amazing flicks lately but this, for shizz, is on the top of my list. Go see it if you haven’t already. It is considerably, no contest, better than Atonement.
