“I got this,” it says…

As anyone every noticed how fast Friday rolls around?

Here it is.

Again.

Have you figured it out?

Yup.

I’m doing November NaBloPoMo, having just rolled off of the October challenge. This will make the third run at NaBloPoMo for me. The first time was November 2010. It took me a year to recover.

Not really. I’m just messing with you. It’s Friday.

Last November was a slam dunk. Last month was a slam dunk. And I’m planning on a slam dunk this month. All 30 days.

October felt like leap month. 31 days. I struggled with that last day.

Many of my colleagues are clicking the keyboard through NaNoWriMo in an attempt to birth a 50K word first draft this month. Click, clack, clack, click. Tear the hair out a lil’ bit and click some more.

Hear me cheer! Go, NaNoWriMo, go!! Click on the image, and it will take you there.

NaBloPoMo cranks out a daily writing prompt, which you may or may not choose to use. It’s optional. I’ve never used the prompt, but I like to check it out each day.

When you are writing, do you prefer to use a pen or a computer?

For snorts & giggles, I’m just going to answer it.

I used to do about half my writing with a quill pen — seriously not that old — but with the advent of technologies like the AlphaSmart and fastforward to the mini notebooks, I pretty much do all my writing on a computer, for the same reason that I used shorthand. My handwriting cannot keep up with my brain.

Typing/keyboarding is a lot less stressful for me, because it’s quicker. And everything is so portable now. A mini fits right in my purse or backpack, right alongside the Kindle. Yes, I still use a backpack. A lot.

I just have to remember to get up and frolic about every hour on the hour, and look away from the screen frequently, lest my body goes into revolt and throws a clot or something.

That being said, I still keep a hunk of paper and a stubby pencil in the pocket, in the glove compartment, in the freezer (just kidding, mebbe) for that bit of dialogue or scene that shoots out of my brain, so that I don’t burst a blood vessel trying to remember it an hour later. My brain assures me it will remember.

“I got this,” it says.

“I swears!” its says.

But that is a total lie.

My brain is just playing with me.

Oh, and outlining. Outlining I have to do with pad and paper. And doodles. Lots of doodles.

Only one Friday Feed Find today. We’re only going to need one. This one.
