We took a 9-day roadmance mid-month and traveled to Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Virginia (little bit) and the Finger Lakes in New York. The posts you saw were all scheduled. Yeah, you got some scheduled posts. I hope you enjoyed them in my absence.
Village pier early evening at Lake Skaneateles, Skaneateles, New York
Visiting Washington, D.C. is something we’ve been wanting to do for a while. Neither one of us has been there. Can you imagine? We wanted to walk the National Mall, stand in front of Lincoln, pay our respects at the Vietnam Wall, and set our eyes upon the National Monument, among a host of other things. We really needed a month there.
On the National Mall, Washington, D.C. It rained. A lot. I have some umbrella shots. Meaning, I was holding an umbrella while trying to take the shot. It wasn’t pretty.
We visited friends in both D.C. and Philly, and revisited one of our favorite lakes in the Finger Lakes going and coming.
Stepping out from the Torpedo Factory at Alexandria, Virginia
It was a mad dash, and I loved every minute of it.
I took a gazillion pictures.
You know that, right?
Inside the Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia, PA. We love you, Philly! We had lunch and a good gawk with friends.
I ate some great food.
You know that, too.
Swilled a libation or two.
No surprise there.
At the Indoor Children’s Garden, Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square, PA. Some little critter gave this little critter a do-over.
These pics are just little photographic amuse-bouches.
More detailed travel posts to follow.
Knock yourself out. It’s Thursday.
I’m happy to be home… until we roadmance again.
