I can’t think of anything more perfect for the first day of September.
Whenever I cruise the farm markets and I spy Helianthus annuus — and isn’t that a mouthful — I simply have to have a clutch.
In Canada and the United States, we celebrate the labourer today.
And a good Labour/Labor Day to you all.

I hear you, Otto. And it is, since fall doesn’t start officially until late September. It’s the bold, burnished yellows and browns that makes me associate it with fall. 🙂
