I’m back with the P word.
Yes.
Pulse.
Deal.
I’m also back with the S word.
Yes.
Soup.
It snowed again in my neck of Canadaland, and my brain went all brothy again.
Deal.
This recipe is brought to you by pulsepledge.com. And it’s name is Tried and True Minestrone.
This be the fifth week of #pulsepledge. Halfway there.
The End!
The Beginning!
The Muddle in the Middle!
… As we would say in writerland.
There are eleventy hundred ways to make minestrone soup in the naked city. This is one of them.
Because I used beans and tomatoes and broth with no salt added, I found it necessary to add salt to this recipe. Bows were substituted for tubetti pasta, because that’s what was in the cupboard.
The featured pulses are red and white kidney beans. Chickpeas are in the original recipe, but the G-Man doesn’t pine for chickpeas.
Freak boy.
Here be Hump Day.
Eat a pulse for Pete’s sake.

Nothing like a broth when it’s cold outside. And I love minestrone. 🙂

Thanks for sending that snow storm our way. It got us a day off from school 🙂 And a lot of shovelling. I loved it! I don’t think I’ve ever had minestrone soup before. With eleventy hundred ways I’m sure there’s at least one that I’d like 🙂
