All Blossoms All the Time!
I saw a blossom or ten at the Ottawa Tulip Festival too.
It’s only right.
A whole lotta bang for the buck was the OTF.
This was taken at Major’s Hill Park, situated above the Rideau Canal where it meets the Ottawa River.
True Confessions ~
So. Ribfest weekend. We went twice. Friday night we wandered over trolling for dessert. The joint venue was hoppin’. The midway was rollin’. The music was ear-splitting. In other words, everything a ribfest should be.
We split up. G-Man and I have totally different notions of the word dessert. He headed for the funnel cake line. I headed for the fries and poutine line. Fresh cut fries with malt vinegar and a sprinkle of salt… best dessert ever. Of course, it didn’t stop me from sampling G-Man’s apple funnel cake.
Best spouse evah!
Saturday night was serious business. Ribs. Pulled pork. Coleslaw and baked beans. Freshly squeezed lemonade. I had the pulled pork but skipped the bun. The bun…. just a suggestion. G is a rib man all the way. The only question for him is how much rack to have.
We toured the booths. We watched the rock climbers and the kids tumbling in giant plastic balls. We stood at the bottom of the Ferris wheel and gawked at the riders going round and round. I love a good gawk, don’t you?
Last stop of the evening was Tiny Tom’s for freshly made quarter-sized donuts, stuffed into a paper sack, and shaken with cinnamon sugar.
Monday morning…………………… fizzy water.
Ermergherd!
And Monday is in the house.
Own it.

Funnel cake gets my vote. Dammit, I’m so hungry now.

I saw a funnel cake with a dollop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of chocolate stroll by with an eater attached to it. And it was the big dollop, not the little dollop. I could’ve been tempted. I won’t be hungry for days. 😉

I think your man gets my vote too. Fries are OK, but for dessert? Nevertheless I love you flowery photo. 🙂
