Humpity Day: Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

I’m Thinking Door Wreath!

The William Dam Seeds came on the spring equinox. Fitting. Appropriate.

Let the seedling games begin.

In Other News ~

Yesterday, it was 53 Fahren. It was sunny. G-Pup took us for a walk. Sniffed. Marked her territory anew. The tongue lolled. The tail swished. Okay. That last bit might have been me. But let’s be clear, I marked nothing.

Today, it’s 22-Fahren-feels-like-6 and will remain in the 20’s and 30’s for the remainder of the week. GAH.

Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

In the new climate — the climate of change — I no longer have a seasonal wardrobe. I have a layered wardrobe. From tankini and flip-flops to down parka and winter boots… just layer it on and off. Everything is jumbled together in the closet.

Did I say ‘jumbled’? I meant tidily stacked and labeled.

Grab the flip-flops and cropped pants and tee one day, the fleece-lined jeans, hoodie and ankle boots the next. The end.

That’s no lie, Geppetto.

The tankini might be a grey area though. Just sayin’.

Here be Hump Day.

I’ve got a brand new pair of roller skates. Wait. Ice skates. No, wait. Roller skates…

  1. I ❤ William Dam seeds. I used to live just around the corner from their greenhouse. Did I stop in to pay a visit? HA! Thank goddess for mail order.

Swiss Chard, eh? Have never ventured down that aisle.

  2. I’m right there with you on the wardrobe scene. Seasonal wardrobe? Pish posh, don’t be silly. Like you I have layers, often of things that don’t match, shed or added throughout the day as the weather plays crazy. So tired of this nonsense…

  3. William Dam is super close to my house and it used to be my birthday tradition (first day of spring bday and all) to go and get my seeds as my prezzy. Now I don’t have the need to grow from seed anymore but your photo brought back some great memories for me.
    Happy Spring and Happy Planting.
