Distraction!
This click was taken in October of 2015. I still love all the colors.
All. The. Colors.

I was up at 4:30 this morning having gone to bed at 11 p.m. and getting a solid 5 1/2 hours of sleep. This startled the G-Man who is the early riser in our casa, 6:00 a.m. like clockwork every single day.
I still function like I did in school — up at the last possible minute. Dressed as quickly as possible. And then stretched out on the couch, flat on my backpack, eyes closed, until time for the school bus.
In other words, I’m not a morning person.
Except for today. Today, I’m up at 4:30 sipping decaffeine and writing this blog and contemplating the change in my circadian rhythm. That I can spell circadian at this hour is mind-boggling.
Also thinking I prefer the term hoarfrost to bomb cyclone or bombogenesis. And if you’re in the path of the bomb cyclone along the east coast of Canada and the US, be safe!
Here be Friday. Mama Weather on steroids.
You know what to do. Meet you in the bar in 3…2…1… If you get there before I do, order me a Hot Buttered Rum. Please and thank you.

Well, roll me over. We have another similarity, Dave gets up early (probably before the birds). For me, it’s the hardest darn part of the day. For some strange reason, I’ve been up early this morning too. Weird.
Leave it to the weather folks to use apocalyptic language like weather bomb and the likes. Buuu.
Stay warm, stay safe and of course stay hydrated. Have a great weekend, Elen.

LOL We’re just kindred spirits! Yes, it does feel excessive, the apocalyptic language. The same to you, Kellie.

We had more snow before the “weather bomb”. We got crazy winds and 10 cm of snow that all melted when the snowfall turned to downpour rain all night. Now it’s -13. Have a happy weekend and try not to wake before the roosters!

Yes. I’m hoping that day was a one-off. 😀 Have you dug yourself out yet? I can’t wait to get back to my reader and see what you’ve been up to. I’ve missed reading your posts. Cheers.

Don’t worry. You haven’t missed anything. I have only written once since Christmas. I’ll get back to it today or tomorrow, though. It was a good break 🙂 There was no need to dig out. Mother Nature rained the snow away. Though we have gotten a little bit more since. The boys shovelled for me this morning!
