True Confessions ~
This morning, I was rushing to the library and didn’t have time to fix a proper breakfast.
Slurping decaffeine, I rummaged through the fridge for a hit of protein and came across a container of salmon smush with olive oil and lemon in it.
No time for ferreting out a water cracker. Grabbing a spoon, I tucked in forgetting that I’d just been sucking on a Fisherman’s Friend Original Extra Strong.
Combining essence of menthol, eucalyptus oil, and liquorice with salmon-lemon-olive oil-smush is a real taste trip. And I mean trippin’.
To coin a phrase from food bloggers — a game changer.
The eyes popped wide. The sinuses trembled. The ears quivered.
I took a pause that wasn’t refreshing, gobbled up the rest, and flew out the door.
Yes, I am that girl.
Here be Friday.

On second thought, I’m just gonna chill in front of the fire with a glass of red wine. Snowy Friday nights were made for that.
