Yo!
It’s me.
The Letter Y
You got that right.
Quit your yappin’, Elen, and just get on with Y.
Right.

I might be one.
Isn’t that just the most beautiful word you’ve ever seen?
Isn’t that just the most beautiful word you’ve ever heard?
Which brings me to the Supremes — an American female singing group from the 1960s. Pop. Rock. And SOUL.
Pure artistry.
My love for their music knows no bounds.
Motown, baby!
Where Did Our Love Go? (1964)
They’ve got this burning, burning, yearning feeling inside.
Only the Supremes are belting out burnin’, burnin’, yearnin’.
Baby Love (1964)
Come See About Me (1964)
You Can’t Hurry Love (1966)
You Keep Me Hangin On (1966)
Reflections (1967)
Someday We’ll Be Together (1969)
Their songs are filled with yearning, especially those from the early 1960s.
I could go on and on, but I yearn to get on to Zed and finish this A to Z Challenge.
Have you ever listened to Motown?
The Supremes?
Do you have a favorite yearning song?
Talk to me.
Here be Hump Day.
I yearn to Motown right over it.
Yup. I’m done now.
Yippee!

I’ve had the privilege to go on stage with Mary Wilson and sing Stop in the name of Love. What a blast! I love Motown. That sound makes me yearn for those days as a kid standing in front of the mirror singing into my hair brush microphone. 🙂

Yikes! I might have on-stage-with-Mary-Wilson envy!! I can only imagine how much fun that was, Keziah. This is going to be an interesting day, because I’m gonna be belting on their music all the day long. You might hear me across the lake!!

Hahahaha. My self-portrait is in the right sidebar just under Elen @ Elen G. Snort + Laugh. I’ve never put anything up except my traveling feet.

Y definitely has some great songs. I’m thinking of Yesterday by the Beatles as well. 🙂

Cortney – I enjoyed visiting your blog yesterday. That is a perfect yearning song, and a Y title to boot. I love the Beatles. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. Always appreciated.

I can’t think of another yearning song, Yesterday would have been my vote if I hadn’t just see it already mooted, but can think of a yearning sound… it’s tricky to spell, uuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, sort of. Congratulations on reaching the end. ~Liz http://www.lizbrownleepoet.com

I like your yearning sound. 😉 Thanks so much for dropping by and taking the time to leave a comment. Yes, we’ve reached the end, though I will most likely write the Reflections post in a couple of days. There may be withdrawal involved. Cheers.
