This click was taken in May of 2012. It was the first blooming of the season for this perennial that I bought at Edwards Gardens (Toronto) at one of their perennial plant sales. You can’t click it bigger. Not too shabby for a iPhone 4 pic.

True Confessions ~

Had a little field trip day into TO (Toronto) on the GO Train on Wednesday. I was going to hit the ROM (Royal Ontario Museum) to see the Iris van Herpen: Transforming Fashion exhibition with the Philip Beesley: Transforming Space installation, but the Spiders: Fear & Fascination exhibition is running through January 6, 2019.

And this…

Come face-to-face with nearly 400 live and preserved amazing arachnids in Spiders: Fear & Fascination. (ROM)

And I just know that there are going to be thousands of spiders hopping on tour buses to come to the ROM to see their brothers and sisters, alive and not so alive and maybe undead. Bought their tickets in advance and everything.

Um, no.

The van Herpen & Beesley exhi/install ends October 8, 2018. I really want to see that. Baaaaad.

Maybe I should phone the ROM and find out how close the spiders are to the transforming fashion. Maybe they’re at opposite ends of the building.

It’s tough to be me.

I digress.

Since the ROM was a no go, we hied over to the Toronto School of Music and thoroughly enjoyed an hour and a half of Tafelmusik. This concert was part of the Tafelmusik Baroque Summer Festival, Free Summer Concerts from June 11-23, 2018). The Saturday finale, which is not free, is sold out. This does not surprise me. Put this on your calendar for next year. I know I will.

It was delightful.

And calming.

I didn’t think about the spiders hanging around the corner at the ROM once.
