A Bit of a Show-Off!
Bromeliads, we love ’em. I think this is Neoregelia. I love those green, waxy leaves and that shade of pink. I hope I don’t drown it.

So…
The wind is whistling around my over the garage woman cave window. I think the seal on the double pane is broken and it needs replacing. But if I replace it, I’m going to have to replace the one next door. They both face the front of the house. A matching set. I could grow to love whistling wind.
Today is National Clam Chowder Day. I can totally get behind that. It’s one of my faves. Do you like it? Are you a Boston or New England creamy clam chowder person or a Manhattan style red tomato based clam chowder person? And if you’re creamy, is that thick cream or more brothy?
I’m in the creamy clam chowder camp, but not super thick. Not thin. Just right.
What do you serve with it? Biscuit? Crackers?
Feel free to point me to your favorite recipe.
Clam chowder definitely goes with howling winds and whistling windows.
And Monday is in the house.
Time to do your work thang.

I love Bromeliads, used to have a houseful.
But let me stop you right there. If it’s red? It ain’t chowdah!
Chowder is made with cream, preferably heavy cream…… not tomato!
That is sacrilege, and any clam worth his salt will run.

Laughing so hard, River. Knew I would hear from you. That last line though. Too funny.

I’m all about creamy clam chowder and pink bromeliads. Not together, mind you. But perhaps eating the soup whilst gazing upon the plant. Or having the plant gaze upon you whilst you eat the soup. The important thing is to eat the soup, stay warm.
