Ferris, you are a wheel!
Summer and amusement parks. They go together.
If I had to choose between this and a roller coaster, it would be this.
No contest.
So…
In no particular order.
So far, my summer isn’t going the way I had envisioned, but it’s a first world problem, and I can deal. Seriously. I’ll just be envisioning differently.
I’m sitting here strategizing appointments and errands, because just after the extreme heatwave ended in Ontario, the auto a/c coughed and died. This is day four. And all I can say is we are lucky, lucky, lucky that it wasn’t last week. I do not handle heat well. Suck at it.
So, it’s out early in the morning for errands and appointments, or after 7:30 in the evening. Otherwise, fuhgeddaboudit! Not sitting in a metal box that can bake a sheet of cookies or pizza. There’s a reason I don’t live in the South. Just sayin’.
Do you say bologna or baloney?
Today, I threw caution to the wind and had Blue Ribbon bologna on a white roll with mayo and sliced tomato with a grind of pepper for lunch. I do that at least once a summer. Throw caution to the wind.
We grew up on baloney sandwiches on white bread with mayo, with or without the tomato. Baloney and saltines. I have fond memories of that.
And what is baloney anyway, if not just a flat hot dog?
This was our big convo over lunch. Then G-Man started talking about fried baloney, and I had to run screaming from the room.
Yes, yes. I like to save the heavy thinking for Mondays.
And Monday is in the house.
We’re in the work zone.
