Yes, you’re in the right spot.
Yes, this blog with the greens and the blues and my name in somebody-pass-me-a-magnifying-glass tiny font is me.

I had to make a wee, most likely temporary, change.
Why?
Because my previous WordPress theme became unstable. It wouldn’t hold the custom fonts. I never knew what the blog was going to look like when I clicked on it.
I have no idea the cause but it’s gone, baby, gone!
So.
We’ve covered the header.
The right hand sidebar is now three footer bars. To keep you from having to scroll to eternity to find a search bar or me in my Dav rain boots or the social media icons or the Insta, I’ve allowed only two posts to be shown on the page before you have to click on older posts.

On the left is a chartreuse square with three bold black lines in it. I could have said green, but I’m just checking to see if your eyes are still open. No moss growing here. If you click on that, you will get the menu bar that used to be at the top of the previous theme. Everything from About Elen to A to Z Challenge is there.

I still can’t get my Twitter stream to work so just — you know — follow me on Twitter. Easy peasy. The social media icon is down there.
Way. Down. There.

The good thing is that the text font on this theme is larger. The images are larger. It is a responsive theme, so it should work well across all devices.
We’ll see how it goes. Just don’t get too comfy with it.

What movies have you seen recently?
Last weekend, I saw Inside Out. The weekend before that — Minions. I watched Oblivion on Netflix. Did I mention we’ve been having a heat wave when it’s not raining?
It’s what I do. I sprawl in a movie seat noshing my way through a bag of peanut butter M&M’s, or I snuggle up in front of the flat screen hugging a bowl of Kawartha Dairy Death by Chocolate ice cream and a bag of Lay’s salt-reduced — for my health — potato chips. Summer sweet and savory chips & dip.
Don’t judge. Yes, I like a good quinoa salad as much as the next person.
But every once in a while it has to be summer sweet and savory chips & dip. Try it. You’ll like it.
Inside Out was the standout for me. It had so many good moments. Loved the characters. Loved the creativity of the story. I’m a sucker for a futuristic film so I enjoyed Oblivion. And what’s not to love about a minion?
So what can you recommend?
Friday. The heat is dissipating. Windows are thrown open. Windows 10 is looming large on my horizon. And I’m in the mood for a little Chuck Berry.
You know what to do. Meet you in the bar in 3…2…1…
Elen
Very natty indeed. Well done!

Lookin’ good. I don’t get to the movies much. There really is never anything I have a burning desire to see. I prefer to DVR really old movies from the 30’s and 40’s. Melvyn Douglas was in one we watched on Sunday, I’ll Take Romance, 1937. For me the best potato chips are Utz. 🙂

I’m partial to the 40’s and 60’s. 🙂 But my middle name might be Eclectic instead of Lucy. I’ll have to check out Utz.
