Grounded!
We do not have a single tree in our back garden.
Yet.
We have all the maple leaves in the land.
There was a big wind Friday.
Friday, there was a big wind.
In Other News ~
The Halloween decorations might still be up.
Mebbe.
I can’t wait to see the latest Bond movie — SPECTRE.
I can’t wait to see The Peanuts Movie.
I am eclectic if nothing else.
What’s the latest movie you’ve seen?
Did you leave the house to see it?
And Monday is in the house.
We’re workin’ it.

Saw the movie of the National Theatre stage play of Hamlet with Benedict Cumberbatch about two weeks ago. Participated in a reading of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead by Tom Stoppard last night. Still on a Hamlet kick from producing it in the not-yet-fall park in September!

I’ll bet Cumberbatch was good. He’s a versatile actor.

I wasn’t awed. The actor who played Ophelia was superb and Horatio too, but in a very different interpretation of the role.

We don’t go to movies anymore; it’s hard for me to get out of the seats and generally uncomfortable. I can’t remember what the last movie I saw was, but it was likely on one of the over-the-air TV channels. Mary has Netflix, so we might see one or more of the recent movies there eventually.

I often travel to a distant theatre to get a more comfortable seat. If you’re going to spend two hours in it… I do more Netflixing that I thought I ever would.

Love the photo. Looks like a fiery hand print (the rays of light on the leaves). Last night I saw “Infinitely Polar Bear”. Mark Ruffalo plays a Bipolar stay at home dad. It’s a sobering film and I absolutely loved it – as I can relate to his struggles with mood and keeping everything organized. I will likely write a post about it later on today.

Thank you. The way the light is patterned, it made me think of rows of corn. The film sounds interesting, and I do like Mark Ruffalo. I’ll look for it. I love film. All kinds of film.

Perhaps you were a little hungry at the time your brain processed that comparison? 😉 Corn is very satisfying and filling, but unfortunately for me, a sure way to gain weight or never be able to take it off. That might be a slight exaggeration, but have you ever tried Mexican or South American sweet tamales for breakfast? Mmmmm. We buy frozen ones, imported from El Salvador, and that with coffee is a very filling and satisfying breakfast on a Saturday morning. I’m just saying. You might wanna try that WHILE you watch the Mark Ruffalo film 🙂

Hahaha. No, I haven’t. I was totally unaware of this deliciousness. Do you get them in Toronto at a specialty food store, because I haven’t seen anything like that out in Burbville? Inquiring minds want to know. 😀

I got them at a huge “Chinese” grocery chain called Oceans. They have so called “ethnic” foods – Chinese, Vietnamese, Mexican, South American, Filipino, Jamaican etc. You’d be surprised what average grocery stores sell. What grocery chains do you have in your area?

The Martian. It’s good but it’s basically Apollo 13 from a different planet. Agree on Spectre!

The Martian is on my list, but no so much the G-Man’s. I’m sure I will see Bond this week.

Oh, good. It’s on the list! Movies that I want to see seem to come out in waves. Then there is a huge drought of film. And then… boon!

Same here! As December approaches, all the good movies come out! The Martian was good too. 🙂

I watched The Gift last week — the recent one with Jason Bateman, not the one with Katie Holmes from 15 years ago. I borrowed the DVD from my in-laws and watched it from the comfort of my own couch. It was pretty good.

Hey you! Okay. I Googled the trailer. That’s all I am brave enough for. Yikes! I’d have to watch in on an itty bitty screen through my fingers. 😉 Looks like a good thriller!
