Fridaaaaay!… Look This Way 28

A Star is Born!

And she shall be called…

June!

My first Iris bloom on the first day of June. Click that Iris bigger.

I planted this Iris last spring. The first in my perennial garden. She napped and grazed the first year. Swung in the hammock and read her way through Donna Grant’s Dragon Kings Series. Showered regularly.

And this year she pushed and stretched and grew and produced these lovely flower buds. Big and fat as butter beans.

And today… the culmination of my her dreams.

I need a hanky.

True Confessions ~

I might be a little emotional when it comes to my perennials.

I planted a new one this spring that is busy napping and grazing and swinging in the hammock. She’s hoarding graphic novels though. Oh. And we don’t need no stinkin’ baths. They’re all different.

Here be Friday.

Time to scram. Vamoose. Hightail it out of here.

You know what to do. Meet you in the bar in 3…2…1…
