True Confessions ~

We saw two very different movies this week. The first one we rented. Ocean’s Eight. I won’t lie. What I loved most about it was that all the principal characters were female. How much fun was that? Helena Bonham Carter’s character and wardrobe made that movie for me. Sorry. Not sorry. All in all it was a romping good heist.

The second was The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, which we saw on Netflix. This historical drama/romance was everything. I haven’t quite enjoyed a movie as much as this in a very long time. That ensemble of actors was a force. The story was fierce and poignant. A thoroughly satisfying drama. I’m sure I will be watching it again. Go on. Check it out.
