Solomon’s Seal!
Here. While I trim back lavender, look at this.
Such delicate white flowers with those flat, silky leaves. What a combo.

Found a gem at the public library. The Masterpiece Contemporary film Framed (2009), which is an adaptation of a children’s novel (of the same name) by Frank Cottrell Boyce.
After the National Gallery in London is flooded, the senior curator (portrayed by Trevor Eve) decides to move the collection to an abandoned mine in North Wales while the gallery undergoes repair, just like they did to protect it during WWII. After that… total charming mayhem.
I don’t want to give anything away.
I’m a Trevor Eve (A Discovery of Witches) fan. And an Eve Myles (Keeping Faith) fan. And a Masterpiece fan forever.
I love the public library.
The end.
And Monday is in the house.
Give it your best shot.

I miss solomon’s seal – the hummers like it, and it has a lovely, gentle fragrance.
Enjoy your week, Elen

You have such beautiful and interesting plants in your garden. I suppose this is a shade lover too…?

Thanks, River. Sadly, it is a true shade lover. My frontscape is all about the sun. It gets the full attention of the afternoon sun, so everything there is a sun lover. The side and back gardens get some sun, but a fair amount of shade, too. Growing the vegetable garden can be tricky. That being said, this plant is an early bloomer, so if you had some sun/shade combo, you could still grow it.
