Single Shot Monday: First Monday… +

Ta-da!

Back in February when I said, “Is it April yet?

Well, it is.

Three little clumps of crocus hug the north foundation of the house. This one has started to bloom. Another is just a bunch of shivering green stems. And the third got a buzz cut like G-Man gets every five weeks. I wept. It was the largest clump with the most flowers forming on it. Given the exactness of the buzzing, it can only be Undead Bunny back on the prowl. Or her progeny.

So…

Easter Monday — A regional holiday for some. Back to work for others. I’m suffering from my post Easter Bun Choco hangover. Sitting here contemplating whether or not I should start the day with a Cadbury mini egg or ten. Hair of the bunny and all that.

Still, it’s the first Monday in April, Single Shot Monday, and the post must go on. To all my comrades doing the 2018 A to Z Challenge, which began yesterday, Rock the Challenge! I’ll be rooting for you from the sidelines.

National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day is a day I can get behind. I like mine with a generous layer of lettuce or potato chips, depending on whether I’m being lean and mean — mostly mean from being lean — or eating all the carbs in all the land. What’s your PB&J style?

The Only and I made Jessica Merchant’s (How Sweet Eats) Pistachio Carrot Cake for Easter. We rolled with a double-layer square cake and liberally sprinkled it with shredded coconut and some Cadbury Mini Eggs. That was The Only’s doing. I suspect we have a closet cake baker/decorator out of the closet. I say yas! Oh, and go make this cake immediately.

And Monday is in the house.

Git back to what you were doing.
