Glorious Color!
Chrysanthemums as far as the eye can see. In all colors and sizes.
What’s not to love?
So Windows 10 October 2018 update has completely destroyed my photo gallery and photo editor. I can do absolutely nothing. Fuming am I. On a slow burn going to nowhere. Ugh. I can only hope that they will correct this quickly. Anybody else have this problem?
Suffice it to say that any image posted to this site belongs to me, unless I state otherwise. No poaching, please.
So…
Who has seen Salt Fat Acid Heat on Nextflix? It’s a 2018 docuseries exploring these four basic elements in cooking. Samin Nosrat, chef and food writer. She travels to Italy to explore the importance of fat in cooking. Then on to Japan to look at how salt influences cooking. Next stop is Mexico for all things acid, and then back to her own domicile to talk about heat.
It was utterly fascinating. I couldn’t look away. I might have spent Saturday afternoon watching three of the four episodes, and Sunday the fourth. And boy was I hungry when the series ended.
If you haven’t seen it, and you’re into food, I highly recommend it. It’s based on the book, Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat: Mastering the Elements of Good Cooking by Samin Nosrat and Wendy McNaughton (2017).
I like to share the things that interest me.
And Monday is in the house.
We’re in the work zone.
Maybe.

I’ve never heard of the Netflix series you’re watching. Sounds fascinating. Thanks.

It was like a travelogue/food fest all rolled into one. I learned a lot about those four elements and how they relate to food. Let me know what you think.

Makes me so glad I opted for Apple, way back when, despite the higher costs.
Thanks for the Netflix recommendation.

I hear that, Bunty. It seems to have righted itself this morning. You’re welcome. If you watch it, let me know what you think. I’d love to have a meal with this chef!
