… balm on!
Taking over the world. Or at least the compost bin and that dead space between the bin and the garden crypts.
This lemon balm is such a beautiful thing, and this was snapped in the late afternoon light. I see a red pot of bright orange marigolds playing peek-a-boo.
Every once in a while, I come along and pinch off a nice fat leaf and rub it between my fingers and sniff, sniff, sniff.
What else should I be doing with it? I’m asking all you gardeners out there.
The pigmunks love it. The squirrels love it. The bunnies sneak around under it, no doubt where they tryst and make all those fairy-rose munching baby bunnies.
Stop it!
I love it. It’s my view from the kitchen sink.
The head is down today. The flash fiction is happening. Writing. Posting. Revising. Re-posting. That is my life.
Here be Hump Day.
Smell the lemon balm.
Now. Git back to work.

Lemon Balm is supposed to repel mosquitoes also. Bonus!

Okay. I’m planting this around the entire perimeter of my back garden. LOL

Nice. Cheerful and upbeat, as usual. If I had some, then I’d rub it in my wife’s head which she just bumped. Maybe the ice pack she’s applying is better. Have a great weekend.

A balm for the head, hm? Hope the bump is okay. And thank you!

When we were dating, a hundred years ago, I nicknamed her ‘Bump’ because she seemed to be banging into stuff and bruising. (On a college campus, I didn’t want to nickname her ‘Banger’ for obvious reasons). She just came in the house and ‘bumped’ her knee on the door casing. How do you do that?

I understand your wife perfectly. 😀 Smart move on ‘Bump’ vs ‘Banger’. Good story too.
